As we draw closer and closer to the glorious time of Jesus' birth we are reminded that not only are we proclaiming his wonderous birth, but we are also aawaiting His SECOND coming into this world.

Today's sermon was about MAGNIFYING our praise to God, to Jesus. This is one thing I find myself not doing quite often.

I've already expressed my difficulty in thinking, acting, and praising the Lord each and every day of the week, but magnifying His glory and his story is also another task that is hard to accomplish. However, I had the chance to magnify tonight, and I did so very well, at the performance of Handel's "The Messiah." Truly a wonderful and praising piece of work, "The Messiah" is amazing and my favorite way to praise God is to SING. ^^ I love singing so much, it makes me smile ALWAYS and it is something I love to do, no matter when or where.

So go and find something that you LOVE to do, and then share it with the world, whether it be praising the Lord or not. However, music and song are one of the best ways to proclaim your love for God, so even if you can't sing just doing it can get you into the spirit. Today our youth group carolled at some nursing homes and just singing Christmas songs and smiling makes a HUGE difference in the world, be it one second or one hour.

So GO! Do something that you love, each and every day of you life, for this is the only one you have, and to make the day is to make the life.

This evening I finished it - an ENTIRE SKETCHBOOK with the first part to the superhero comic series!! >~< ...Yeah, it's a whole sketchbook. >~< Now...onto part 2!!

(Oh...I need a new sketchbook first though) >~< ...darn.

Today's sermon was in honor of those terrible apocalypse movies that just keep coming...and making TONS of money. >~< 2012 was the latest in disasters...and the end of the world has warped lots of people's minds into believing that the end of the world is coming...and certain precautions should be taken into account in order to survive or prepare before disaster strikes.

This isn't how God wants us to live, though. In fear, in predicting, in hiding. He wishes for us to live our lives in the moment, and in every breath we give He wishes us to give to others, act for others, and act like it was our last day on Earth, but not dwell over the end.

Much like our Sunday school lesson today, we cannot hide behind people and dwell on the past, that means our sins and other experiences that have left us corrupted and scarred. But this doesn't mean abandon them and pretend like it never happened, whatever it is. Confront your sins, your wrong-doings, and admit to your actions. There may be punishment, but that's the way it has always been, from the first sin committed in this world when Eve took the fruit from the forbidden tree and ate it, then blamed the serpent for misleading her. Punishment was swift in this case, making the serpent the lowest life-form on Earth, making all women having to suffer during childbearing, and also making man take up thorns when cultivating land.

But sin is always with us. Since the beginning of time, there will be sin. The next step is to admit to sin, and ultimately PRAY for forgiveness. Praying is an activity that one, as well as myself, should strive to partake in each and every day, at LEAST once a day. Praying is the greatest connection to our God that we have, and through it we can admit our sins, lay down our heaviest burdens, and leave all faith into the hands of the One we know can handle it. In different shapes and different forms, God can change lives and change outlooks.

We have all been laboring for so long, in jobs, in relations, in the game of life. The end shouldn't be looked upon as a certain date, or a certain circumstance, or a certain payback for all that we have done wrong. The end should be ignored, for the end will always come. It's not a matter of the when, or the what in pastor Rob's words, it's about the WHO. WHO will you serve? WHO will you believe in? WHO will you touch, in your talents, and love, and being? WHO will you love until the day of your very last breath? I hope that all of these questions are answered in the correct way by you, for there is only one life for you to live, and I certainly can't wait until that happy life is fufilled and the treasures I have stored up in the kingdom of heaven can be unlocked.

It is for the moment now, the life now, that I live, I serve, and I love under the name of the Lord, and I hope that you can find that ultimate happiness too, for the reward is surely greater than all the riches and all the precautions one could buy in protection for the end.
